Both a romance and a piece of meta-commentary, Love in the Time of Wertham takes inspiration from 50’s era popular culture to explore the impact that Fredric Wertham had upon the comics industry.
By viewing the events from the perspective of the comics themselves, Love in the Time of Wertham shows how the McCarthy-esq investigations affected public opinion, but ultimately led to changes that re-invented the superhero genre and gave birth to a new generation of cultural icons.
